Teachers and caregivers often spend big amounts of epoch preparing for special occasions, particularly for holiday celebrations. In fact, preparation for some holidays consumes for that reason much learned period that the kids and their program are neglected, perhaps for as long as two or three weeks. This is not an ample practice.
Young kids get not obsession -- or expect -- exaggerate celebrations. Two- and even three-year-olds will have enormously tiny if any contract of the meaning of most holidays or extra special occasions. They have tiny if any knowledge of the conventional or normal goings-on joined similar to these occasions. Older preschoolers may recall some features of bookish or relations observances from previous years, but their enjoyment of a celebration is not based upon enlarge adult preparations.
The aspects of special occasions that kids find meaningful are those comings and goings that they themselves can participate in directly and fully. children accomplish need--and have all right to expect--fun, self-paced, child-centered endeavors every day, including special occasions and celebrations.
To make special occasions suitable for children,
1. save celebrations simple and short;
2. scheme child-centered, child-paced activities;
3. save preparations simple;
4. start preparations no earlier than one or two days since the issue or holiday;
5. change children in all aspect of preparations;
6. keep the agenda flexible.
New or strange situations, secret people, a larger number of people than a child is accustomed to, or other requirements even in a up to date area are all stressful for teen children. The most flourishing endeavors are those that insert many familiar features.
